Terms of Service
§ 1. General provisions
1. These Terms of Service set out the terms and rules for using the website cvmajster.pl, hereinafter referred to as the Service.
2. The owner and administrator of the Service is CVmajster, contact email address: kontakt@cvmajster.pl.
3. The Service provides electronic services consisting of making available a tool (builder) for creating documents yourself (CVs, letters, invitations, posters) and of generating finished files in PDF format (or ZIP for invitations) for a fee.
§ 2. Terms of use and provision of services
1. Using the basic functions of the editor in the Service is free of charge.
2. Downloading a generated document in its clean version (without the watermark and the security hologram) is a paid service. The price of generating and downloading a document once is PLN 5 gross (CV with an ATS version: PLN 9.50, CV with a cover letter: PLN 14.99, CV with an ATS version and a cover letter: PLN 20.00 gross).
3. Payments are processed through the external payment gateway Stripe.
4. To complete the payment, the User is redirected to the payment service, where they must provide a valid email address and choose a payment method (BLIK, payment card or fast bank transfer).
5. Once the payment has been booked, the User is automatically redirected to the Service, where the PDF file downloads automatically. A copy of the document is also sent to the email address given during payment and to the one in the document.
6. The first correction of a paid CV is free of charge. To use it, the User logs in to an account with a confirmed email address matching the one given at purchase or in the CV, and uploads the original PDF file downloaded from the Service. Each further correction of the same purchase is paid (currently PLN 2 gross), and its price is shown before payment. The fee applies only to the documents in the paid package.
§ 2a. AI-edited profile photo and photo pack
1. A logged-in User may have their own photo turned into a CV profile photo with the help of artificial intelligence models. Generating and viewing a watermarked photo is free of charge to the extent made available by the Service. Using such a photo in a purchased CV costs an additional PLN 2.50 gross on top of the price of the chosen package.
2. A User who has used up the edits made available may buy a photo pack: 15 edits for PLN 12.00 gross. Photos from the pack are made available without a watermark and may be downloaded and used in a CV at no extra charge.
3. The photo pack is assigned to the account on which it was bought and cannot be transferred to another account. The edits in the pack may be used for 12 months from purchase. The Service stores photos from the pack for 30 days after they are generated and then deletes them.
4. The photo pack is digital content made available immediately after the payment has been booked. By buying the pack, the User agrees to the performance starting before the 14-day period expires and acknowledges the loss of the right to withdraw from the contract, in accordance with § 3.
5. The User may upload only their own photo, or a photo to which they hold the rights, showing one person. It is forbidden to upload photos containing nudity, underwear or swimwear, erotic, vulgar or offensive content or violence, photos of minors in such shots, or photos of other people without their consent.
6. Photos are checked automatically before they are edited. A photo that breaches point 5 is rejected and is not edited. In the event of repeated breaches, the Service may temporarily or permanently block photo editing on the account concerned, without refunding the fee for the used part of the pack.
7. The photo is prepared by an artificial intelligence model, so the result may differ from the User's expectations. Every edit, including one the User considers unsuccessful, reduces the number of edits left in the pack. A photo rejected before editing does not reduce it.
§ 3. Right of withdrawal and refunds
1. Pursuant to Article 38(13) of the Polish Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights, the right to withdraw from a distance contract does not apply to the consumer in the case of contracts for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium for which the consumer is obliged to pay, if the trader has begun performance with the consumer's express and prior consent, and the consumer was informed before performance began that they would lose the right of withdrawal once the trader has performed the contract.
2. By accepting these Terms of Service and paying for the download of a PDF file, the User expressly consents to the immediate performance of the service (delivery of the PDF file) before the 14-day period expires and acknowledges the loss of the right to withdraw from the contract.
3. If technical faults attributable to the Service prevent the file from being downloaded, the User has the right to file a complaint at kontakt@cvmajster.pl. Complaints are processed within 14 days of being filed.
§ 4. Complaints
1. In the event of technical problems with downloading a paid file or errors in its generation, the User has the right to file a complaint.
2. Complaints should be submitted electronically to the email address kontakt@cvmajster.pl, stating the email address used for the payment and a short description of the problem.
3. The Administrator processes complaints within 14 days of receiving them. If a complaint is upheld, the file will be sent directly to the customer's email address or the payment will be refunded.
§ 5. Final provisions
1. These Terms of Service enter into force on the day they are published in the Service.
2. The Administrator reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service for important technical or legal reasons.
3. Matters not governed by these Terms of Service are subject to the provisions of the Polish Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act.
4. This is an English translation of the Polish Terms of Service (Regulamin). In the event of any discrepancy, the Polish version prevails.
