How to write a personal trainer CV
Professional summary
Say who you work best with and on what: weight loss, building strength, athletic conditioning, seniors, pregnant women, returning after injury. Add the number of years and whether you have regular clients. A club looks for a trainer who will build their own client base.
Personal trainer with a completed course and a year of practice at a gym, specializing in training for women and mobility. I have 10 regular clients and run healthy spine classes. I am looking for a job at a club with group classes.
Experience: duties and achievements
Show the results of your work: how many clients you train, what progress they have made, how many came back after the first package. The numbers must be true and without clients' personal data. Also write about selling packages, because it matters to the club.
Weaker: Running personal training sessions.
Better: One-to-one training for about 25 regular clients, measuring progress every 4 weeks.
Weaker: Helping clients lose weight.
Better: Training plans for weight loss: an average of 6 kg less after 3 months for clients who trained regularly.
Weaker: Sales.
Better: The highest sales of training packages at the club in 2023.
Skills worth listing
Keep your training skills separate from your soft skills. In this profession soft skills are just as important: motivating, patience and building relationships decide whether clients stay.

Personal trainer courses
Personal training is not a regulated profession in Poland, so employers look at completed courses, education (for example physical education or physiotherapy) and experience. List your courses with the year and scope, without inventing certificate names.
Personal trainer CV with no experience
After your course, describe your placement at a club, training sessions you ran for friends and family, your own sports experience and competitions. Add a profile with training tips if you run one.
Many clubs start working with a trainer through gym floor duty. Say that you are ready for this and list the hours you can work.
Tailoring your CV to the job offer
A large club chain looks for people who will also run group classes and sell packages, a personal training studio for specializations, and a sports club for athletic conditioning. Move what fits the place to the top.
