Describe catering school placements, seasonal work, helping at family events or volunteering at events. Any work with people counts.

Say that you can work evenings and weekends and that you learn quickly. Many restaurants hire people with no experience and train them on the floor.

Tailoring your CV to the job offer

A fine dining restaurant looks for wine knowledge and polished service, a hotel for languages and breakfast service, and a busy place for speed and resilience. Move what fits the place you are applying to to the top.
