How to write a recruiter CV

Professional summary

Say which roles you recruit for, how many processes you run and whether you work in an agency or in-house. Add one result, such as time to hire or the number of people hired.

Junior recruiter with a year of experience at a staffing agency. I recruit for production and warehouse roles, run phone screens and manage candidates in the ATS. Before that I worked in customer service.

Recruiter CV with no experience

People move into recruitment from sales, customer service and psychology. Describe your conversations with people, how you organise your work and the results you achieved.

Aim for a junior recruiter or agency assistant role. Say that you know LinkedIn and want to learn sourcing.

Tailoring your CV to the job offer

An agency looks for client work and volume hiring, a manufacturer for pace and filling shifts, and a tech company for sourcing and knowledge of technology. Move what the job ad is about to the top.
